Are you ready to learn how to take a length of beautiful yarn and turn it into gorgeous knit fabric?   This three-session class will teach you how to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and bind off.   You’ll make your own scarf and/or hat and learn enough about the basics of pattern reading and gauge to dive into a more complicated pattern on your own.  A perfect introduction to My First Project, this class is a complete knitting primer that will start you off with perfect technique and lots of inspiration. Class size is limited to allow for lots of individual attention.  Suitable for the complete beginner.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mystified by how all those pieces come together into a finished sweater?  Intimidated by the process and looking for a step-by-step breakdown of the steps involved?  Blocked about blocking?  This one-session lecture introduces everything you need to know to finish your next project confidently, including lots of tips, tricks and resources to give your project a professional look.   We’ll cover weaving in ends invisibly, perfect seaming, picking up stitches for smooth collars and button bands/plackets, placing buttons, blocking and fabric care.  This is a lecture only but please bring four 5” X 5” stockinette stitch swatches in any smooth, light colored yarn and matching yarn in 14” lengths if you’d like to practice seaming during the demonstration.  Suitable for anyone curious about finishing.</p>

<p>Unlock the designer in you! Learn to design and create your own ONE OF A KIND baby hat &amp; booties. Lots and lots of simple embellishments techniques are taught that a knitter will use over again in all their knitting projects - not just when they are knitting for babies.</p>
<p>Color selection (not just baby blue and baby pink please!), unusual but easy hat shapes, ribbings, crowns and peaks will be taught along with easy booties that you will enjoy designing. Join Debby for a fun filled workshop.</p>

<p>Debby will show you the many choices you have and the many easy embellishment techniques that you can use to design your own sweater for any baby or toddler you many know. Ruffles, pockets, i‐ cords, perfect pompoms, unusual edgings, duplicate stitching and more will be taught. You will discover you can use these techniques in all your knitting projects ‐ not just for babies!</p>
<p>If you’ve never knit a sweater, learn the basics of sweater construction and more in this wonderful workshop.</p>
