Julie Weisenberger, aka CocoKnits, is an American designer who learned to knit in Salzberg, Austria, near the convent from The Sound of Music. She is fond of telling people that she learned from the nuns.
Julie teaches knitting classes and has a popular line of designs for women, men, children, and the home. She lives in Oakland, California, with her husband and two children.
Julie’s most recent design, Adrian (Ravelry link), is a unique unisex vest that can be worn a variety of ways: wear it open and it’s a lovely, rolled edge vest; cross over the fronts and it creates a shawl collar.
One of Julie’s most popular designs is Liesl, a tunic-length seamless tank with an asymmetrical hemline and large patch pockets. There are nearly 300 projects on Ravelry!
We are thrilled to debut Julie’s next pattern, Veronika, knitted with A Verb For Keeping Warm’s lace-weight silk-alpaca blend Reliquary II. Look for it in our booth at Vogue Knitting Live! Julie will be teaching at the show, and will be in our booth on Saturday afternoon to answer questions, visit with knitters, and sign patterns.
Wondering what this is all about? Check out our blog post about our booth at Vogue Knitting Live and the amazing designs we’ll be debuting at the show.
