VKL designer profile: Crafty Diversions

weekendshawl-5511-logoAnne Kuo Lukito, aka Crafty Diversions, is a quadrilingual Southern Californian, originally from Sugar Land, Texas. She’s a lifelong crafter, and first picked up knitting needles in 2006. She began designing to avoid following other people’s directions, and her patterns first appeared in Knitty (Morgan, an Ivy, or Driving, Cap created with a unique top-down construction and short rows), Interweave, and 101 Luxury One Skein Projects in 2008. She now designs full time.

roseling_z_500_medium2One of Anne’s most popular patterns, The Weekend Shawl (pictured above, modeled by Anne) can be knitted with lace or fingering weight yarn in three different sizes. As the name suggests, it was created in just two days!

Her most recent pattern is Roseling, a cardigan from the Fall 2011 Twist Collective. Roseling is pictured at left.

6751hrWe are thrilled to debut Anne’s next two patterns, Anacortes in The Fibre Company’s Terra and Lakedale in Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend. Look for them in our booth at Vogue Knitting Live! Anne will be attending the show, and will be in our booth (day and time TBD) to chat, answer questions, and sign patterns.

Wondering what this is all about? Check out our blog post about our booth at Vogue Knitting Live and the amazing designs we’ll be debuting at the show.
