Stephanie Dosen, aka Tiny Owl Knits, is a musician and designer from Wisconsin, living in London.
A song that she wrote with The Chemical Brothers was recently released in the Cate Blanchett/Eric Bana movie HANNAH.
Stephanie’s designs may or may not be dictated to her by the fairies! When she’s not designing or writing music, she enjoys painting, reading, writing, reworking vintage clothing, daydreaming, journaling, forest wandering, sitting around the campfire.
Her most recent design, The Beekeeper’s Quilt, uses scraps of sock yarn to create little hexagon pockets that are stuffed and sewn together, creating a two-sided blanket. The pattern was released less than a month ago and already has over a thousand projects on Ravelry! A close-up of the quilt is pictured at left.
The runaway success of the Beekeeper’s Quilt aside, Stephanie’s most popular pattern is her whimsical Deer With Antlers Hat. Stephanie models the hat at right.
We are thrilled to debut Stephanie’s next two patterns, Sleeping Beauty in Dream in Color Classy and Moss & Bluebell in The Fibre Company’s newest yarn, Acadia. Look for them in our booth at Vogue Knitting Live!
